What is on my torch coral?

There is a black string that looks like algae coming out of my torch coral but it’s not algae. What could this be. Here is a picture of it.

Do torch corals poop??

Most corals do poop in someway shape or form. After it finishes the torch should look as good as new

Yes, as do hammers, frogspawn, and duncans. At least these are the ones I actively see make huge poops like in your pic. Mine do it at least once a day. Big brown stringy thing comes out the mouth, usually accompanied with tentacles closing up, I assume from the strain.
