What is on my Trachyphyllia geoffroyi??

Seen a long thin string floating out from the side took a look and it almost looks bruised… I’m at a loss never seen this before I could use some expletives eyes! There is what I think is a coco worm lower on the side but not close to the affected area.

Was also going to say it looked like a ctenophore, haven’t seen one in a tank in many years.
