What is on my zoa?

I recently got a frag of dragon eyes and notice this black area on 2 of the polyps. The spots haven't grown in the week and a half and the polyps seem to open fine. I took the photo at night using a flashlight to see the black area better.

Probably just a sponge, you may be able to peel it off and throwing in your sump..

Didn't know sponges were black too. I'm new to the sw and these are my first zoas. I'll try cutting it off later. Will the sponge grow fast? A large black sponge might look intresting

Tried slicing off as much as I felt comfortable. The thing had black blood? And is stuck on the polyp shafts. I used a small razor blade and tweezers, any recommendations on how to remove the rest
