Hard to tell from pics, but I would guess it’s a spirobid worm of some sort

To me, in the first two photos, looks like something soft-bodied stuck to the shell (well camouflaged). Sluglike. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

OP, If you follow that shell around does it lead to an opening or some door-like covering at the other end?

LOL, yes but I included the right side of the piece as it looks like a spirobid shell wrapping over the snail shell.

- Hitchhiker bivalve
- Slipper limpet
Less confident:
- Mega Vermetid snail
- Tube worm
