What is still considered NANO?

Nano tanks have evolved through out the course of the hobby that I have been a part of, and the incorporation of more pico style reefs is arising. I am curious to hear from you all what you feel to be a "NANO" sized system?

In my opinion we had this conversation a group of friends and myself and we all agreed that 40 Gallons is the cut off from where you go from Nano to Just Aquarium/Reef. SO what is the tank size you feel is the max size to be considered a NANO!

For me, pico is 5 gallons or less. Nano is between that at 40 gallons, yeah.

Over 30G normal tank
10 to 30 nano
under 10 pico

Although the new biocube is 32G, I would still call that a nano as the display is under 30.

I agree that by the time you hit 40 gallons your talking about a normal size tank. I think 30 gallons or less is a true nano.

From 10-30ish is a nano
10 and under is a pico
That's how I see it anyway

I've kinda thought of it like this:
If you can carry it full of water by yourself its a pico
If you can carry the tank empty by yourself its a nano
If you need an assistant then its a normal tank
If you need several assistants, then its a monster.

Which I realize is subjective to an individuals strength, but we can all estimate.

Anything 30g or less is a nano IMO.

Pico is a subclass of nano tanks that are 5g or less.

I feel 5-30 is a nano, but accept up to 40 - because of how common and cheap 40b tanks are.

under 5g is a pico.

40-120g is Average

120-250 - large

250+ - monster
