nope i bought these though because of the very large pore size, holes are bigger than they look in the pic

I just got some of those cheap garbanzo gift bags like at weddings, they’re dirt cheap and you can use them for carbon etc too and just toss them out when they’re dirty.

+2 on matrix. Super cheap and tons of surface area. I bought some of those mesh bags as listed above and you can fit a whole liter of matrix in one and just throw it in the sump. Makes for an easy cleaning too

+1 Siporax, too effective for Nitrate removal. I struggle to keep Nitrates at detectable levels. They are perfect inside a canister filter.
