What is the best light type for my tank ?

Hi, starting up new tank and want to know what is the best light type for 60 gallon (60cm deep and 100cm length) tank ? like do need Metal-halide ? led ? or fluorescent ?

Most will tell you LED. Provided that you buy a quality fixture the intensity can be adjusted depending on the type of corals you want to keep and the color can be adjusted the way you like it. The plus is electrical savings and no bulb replacement.

Can you tell me how to chose the amount of lighting i need ? i dont want buy ready LED setup want to "build" it my self .

If your set on building your own reefledlights who is a sponsor here is where I got all the components I used when I had built all mine.
About 8 months ago tho I switched all the DIY to the LEDS fixtures from Ocean Revive LED who is also a sponsor.

Very opinionated topic "which light type is best" hahaha

I used to run MH but for my size tank I took the chance and gave LED a try and have never regretted it, thats been 2 years on a 400 gallon SPS tank.
