Good morning all :) I’m sure we have all had a hard time catching one of our fish sometimes, I try and use my hand to guide the fish into the net or use a clear plastic 2 liter bottle, do you guys have any effective tricks to share? Thanks :)

I always tried using a net and all them tricks. Eventually I broke down and bought a fish trap was a great purchase.

I usually go with the approach of spending an hour trying to catch one with a net and gloved hand as a guide while cursing at myself for giving them so many hiding places in the live rock. Definitely planning on buying a fish trap in the future!

I've had a couple of fish that I've had to drain the tank down to about an inch of water and the fish was easily cornered.

I use a magnet scraper to stick this little critter keeper to the side of the glass. Put food in it and when they go in to eat, I close the door.

i think its easier to catch them at night

Net at night and surprise the fish

Best method- Fish trap which works 100% for me

Practice, practice, practice.
With a net.
Maybe some rock throwing or removal!
sometimes a lot of cursing.

try catching a shrimp. They are worse then fish. Little upside down swimming weirdos. Reminds me I have to catch one today.
