I've never really had a problem maintaining any colors in polyps in my tank unless it was just a morph due to conditions in the previous tank.

I would definitely say yellow. I remember when yellow jackets were all the rage and then people started to realize that they faded and look more green.

well I say it has to do with the type of zoa you are trying to keep. As we all know some are a little more fickle than others, so the color I picked is based off that since black wasnt an option......

I am not sure if i understood the question completely, but i have seen lots of Purple Death palys and other types of purple Zs and Ps in other peoples tanks that are just incredibly purple and awesome looking, and other people have frags from that same person in their tank and the colors look completely different. I dont see this as much in other colors than just this specific type of polyp.

The question was trying to find out which color is the most difficult to maintain. As the example FSU provided with the yellow changing to green, when the preference would have been to keep it yellow. Or pink turning to brown, when clearly the preference would be to keep it pink. I feel like reds wash out pretty easy i dont have a ton of zoas but the rh do for me very easy.

IMO pink, they are almost always darkening up and the pink disappears, becoming gray, brown, or blackish.

Really? I only have a few varieties of pink Z&Ps (Pink lemonade palys, pink zippers, SC pink rings, & mohawks), but the pink has never been a problem. Am I just keeping the easy ones?

Thanks Tabsaco - But i think the biggest issue with the question is that every tank whether lighting or parameters could effect some zoas differently...its interesting to see some people have no problems with a certian color and the next post is about that color being a issue. It's a tough call

Red was always a problem for me. My Candy Apple Reds looked great when directly under halides, but the ones that were on the side were really faded looking.

I say blue. That color always fades to a violet color on me. It still looks cool, but not what i had wanted,.

For me it is blue. Had some nice blue polyps that melted and my Capt. Americas have lost all blue and morphed to a strange orange blend
