Recently i was at my LFS and I stumbled across some bleached Acropora frags that were 10 for 2 of them. Since I thought the polyps were healthy and I could bring it back I bought them. About a week later (now) I looked through some coral viewer glasses and I noticed the smallest tint of orange coloration on the bases of the polyps. The flesh has regenerated a bit and looking better by the day. Ill include some pictures of with and without the orange filter.

Hard to tell. It looks stressed. Leave it in one place, don’t move it around. Consistency with parameters, and hopefully the polyps and colors will come out. Once it settles in get some better photos.

Its a lot better than it was. Currently keeping alk at about 8.9 to 9. My guess is that it was bleached from overexposure to light at the fish store. As of today there is no new encrusting growth on the plug, but no loss of flesh either. Considering also dosing a small amount of aminos.

One more thing is the polyps are coming out and looking like they will recover

It could take weeks for it to start encrusting like any new Acro , but yours looks like it’ll make it.
wouldn’t think that aminos would help at all at this stage but maybe.
