I have a few of these in my tank. Usually in dark corners, attached to the rock. The head comes out of this white-drinking-straw type tube that runs along side of the rock wall. The head can pop back into the straw and hide if disturbed.

What is it? Is it bad? It doesn't look exactly like Aiptasia does in the pictures I've seen. The head reminds me of the plastic end of a badminton shuttlecock (lol).

not aiptasia. Looks like Split-Crown Feather Duster (Anamobaea orstedii). I could be wrong about the ID but it's definitely not aiptasia.

Thanks all

Yup, definitely a feather duster. Aiptasia tentacles usually point straight up when young and don't have that sort of fan shaped head.
