Ive tried every tang under the sun rabbit fish turbo snails, multiple 75 percent water changes, fluconazole, biopellets. Nothing seems to eat it or get rid of it. Turnos and blue urchins have ate in the past but they usually die within a week or so. I have it in multiple tanks, some tanks dont have it all. Any ideas?

Green hair algea (Derbesia)

I belive you have a systemic problem in tank. With that amount of algae of any kind and the constant die of inverts , I’d suspect a contaminant.
I’ve had 3 urchins in the last 4 years and still have two of them.
It’s a pretty hardy critter.
Some folks have snails for years.

If you can get a close clearer picture with more detail of the structure of the alge we can confirm the I’d. I could be wrong.
But I feel like you have a bigger fish to fry.

Anyone else have an opinion? I have dealt with hair algae easily in the past. I think this is something else.
