What is this alien?

I've seen this guy a few times but he's fast and never got a good look at him. I saw him grab some hair algae a few times. Is he a friend or a foe?

Yup. Eunicid or "Bobbit" worm. Foe in my book, but some people like them. They eat anything and everything, can get huge, like 10 feet huge, and have a nasty bite. IMO, try to catch it. Definitely not with hands, and at best, banish it to the sump...

Just because I like it and there are quiet a few different species of this worm that doesn`t do that much harm to your tank
