What is this and does it need to be removed?

I just noticed this pop up.. do I need to do something about it or is it fine? It’s hard

It looks like a vermatid snail, and while it isn't necessarily bad, they reproduce fast and excrete mucous nets that irritate corals. I would snap it off with a screwdriver or pair of pliers and throw it away.

Oh wow I think I’ve seen some of those mucous nets as of the last two days. I assumed it was something weird from the anemone bc it was larger bits of it floating around or hung up on stuff. TY
