What is this and have I killed it?

I have two wave pumps in my system but normally only run one hooked up to a wave controller as the other one is independent and a little too powerful. Every now and then I forget this and turn it on to see what will happen. Today this happened.

See that white bit? I'm sure that was full of wavey bits just this morning. What is it and have I done a bad?

Welcome to R2R. I am not quite sure which coral you're addressing. I see a Torch, is the white area in front of is what type of coral. Was it also a Euphyllia, like a Torch, Hammer, Frog Spawn.

Hi, it looks like it's a torch and may have retreated back into itself. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it does anything else

They're normally way longer, fatter and wavier too and have all receded a bit but I've never seen one branch completely disappear before!
