It’s allll over my rocks in sump and in my skimmer but nothing in my display

Should I have a crab in my sump ? I’ve been wanting to get one to get rid of these but if good then I shouldn’t ? Im not sure if the crab will even eat it.

They will die back as your tank matures.

I’m not sure what mature age is but this tank is about a year old

Mature isn't a time thing.

Ive seen a few tank many years old that are no where near mature. My tank is currently 5 years setup, and I still have a ton of them in my center tower style overflow. The only place they are in my tank that I can see. I believe they like a lot of flow, and low light(like my overflow).

Either way, they are fine and do not harm anything. If anything they are somewhat "cleaning" your water.

They are filter feeders and harmless. Suck them out with a turkey baster. You may have to scrape some off first. As nutrients are taken out of the water then they may reduce in numbers.

They are in a perfect place right now-not in your display. Each one of them is basically a micro-skimmer. Leave them be and enjoy another piece of the water filtration toolset.

Awesome thanks guys , nothing in my display just my skimmer and my sump I do see a couple in my display next to my overflow and skimmer outtake
