What is this and should I be concerned?

Need feedback and peace of mind. Found a couple things in my tank that I noticed that wasn’t there before.

1st looks like a snail operculum.
Maybe a snail died and left it behind. Could be a hermit needed it's shell. These things happen, no worries. Leave some bigger shells in the tank for the hermits.

2nd I think your talking about the thing on the rock. From where I sit, it looks like an aptaisia. Yes, you should be a little worried. If they spread they will be all over the tank. Don't go willy nilly trying to kill it. Research and pick the best method for you.

I did have a snail die maybe a month ago. Should I be concerned about it?

looks like a snail and some aptaisia as said above. Snail is fine. There are a ton of articles here about aptaisia mitigation. Good luck
