What is this, and should i be worried?

I just set up my tank about 2 weeks ago, And have noticed more of these popping up, at night they seem to grow out of the rock more on a stem and reach for the top of the tank.

Thanks!, what about a filefish? I think my LFS is out of peppermint shrimp

Yes you can add a filefish... they do help... good luck
