What is this Anemone ???

long story short, bought some SMALL live rock today to add to my tank thats currently cycling
and i see this thing on it and its moved from top to underside of the rock now back up... what the heck!?

theres two this ones small the other is TINY!!!

NOTE: it isnt white its brown with white tips, anyone give me an ID on this Anemone?

its alive cause its moving around my tank on the live rock
and theres bristleworms on my rock too, i assume theyre good because due to my research theyre not bad to have in the tank cause they scavenge the left overs and help?

Yeah bud I'll try and get you a better pic this evening! There's two of them ones tiny tho won't show up in the pic

Possibly a Waratah, but have only seen them more of a burgundy color. They also open more in lower light or when light are off.

Took a pic into my swfs and they said it was Aiptasia, so I cut it off with a knife, there is one tiny one still in there though that woukdnt die or wanted to be removed so I'll figure something out for him! Don't want it eating my clowns

the anemone in that pic doesnt look like aiptasia. i really wish you could have provided some better pics, could have had a gem on your hands

There's another small one growing in there that ive left alone, the pics are were hard to get! My phone doesn't take good quality pics so hard to get detail, but it was a brown color with white tips, my LFS said it was aiptasia

My clown went over to it and then sped off real fast that's when I decided to just remove it, cause my clowns are small

well, if it is aiptasia and you cut it there is a good chance a few more will pop up, they're like weeds and once cut up spread like wild fire.
peppermint shrimp make quick work of them though

Yeah man I heard about that, if they pop back up I'll be buying a shrimp in the future!

Quick question to anyone who would know this!

Is there anyway possible I can remove the purple "paint I assume" from live rock and make it white again? I have some drying out that I won't be using for awhile and I don't want the purple on it (for future builds)
