Is it hard? Maybe some kinda limpet?

Could be a sponge or limpet and I can’t touch it atm my hands are dirty. The only thing I’ve introduced is a scopes tang not even for two days, so I’m just surprised how it got that big. Maybe I didn’t notice it grow but I haven’t added anything in a while since the tang.

I will say it does look hard visually but it could be squishy for all I know.:face-with-monocle:

Im bettin on some kinda bivalve or somethin! See if its in the same spot later on! If it doesnt move it could just be a neat addition to the tank

I started with no live rock, but the rock itself was live like 10 years ago and extremely porous. I have added a montipora and birds nest about 3 weeks ago but noticed no hitchhikers, and they were from the same system as everything else I got from that LFS.
Did you start with live ocean rock? If so how long ago? Any corals added

Would it be safe to pick it off the rock? I don’t want to damage whatever it is so after I clean my hand and touch it I’ll give an update on the hardness of it

If its a bivalve that would kill it :(

But poking it to see if its hard or reacts would be neat... if anything else poking stuff is fun
