What is this beast

Seriously, put a piece of fresh fish or shrimp on the sand and it will come out, day or night. Then scoop him up with a net.

It is not a cone snail. And a good thing it is not, they can be dangerous.

Lettered Olive shell, Oliva sayana .
How can you be certain with such a fuzzy, blue photo? It definitely could be, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Because I have seen thousands of them. They are a very common snail on the Texas coast.

What other snails do you have? Although not their first target species, they could possibly kill other snails also. If that is the case, then I would say banish him to the sump or take him out to be 100 percent safe.

I think I’m going to take him out to be in the safe side really ticked at my LFS after saying that there good and paying $15 for the little bugger.
