Took a screen shot of the view I get just for a giggle; but it sure could be one, gonna have to get stronger glasses on :)

Not aptasia probably a curly que anemone common on gulf live rock unfortunately still stings other corals just not as prolific a spreader as aptaisa.
 
Aptasia. Ive had some even larger.
Simply take a pipette or syringe and inject into the center core, either lemon juice or preferably kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and it will melt away.
