what is this brown hairy growth?

Hi all,
Tank is approximately 2.5 months old and have some hair algae type growing on the rocks - it's more brown than any other color. Don't think it's cyano since it's difficult to remove but unsure - stuck to surface, doesn't blow off. Need help with an ID, thanks.

It's a nuvo 20 and have 5 snails in the display with 2 in the back chamber. I believe it's a mix of astrea and turbos. Also have like 5 hermit crabs

I believe Saltyfilmfolks meant snails.

I would triple the amount of snails you have, crab numbers are fine. Appears to be extra long bacterial mulm.

I dosed the tank on the 16th with Fluconazole and only 5 days in and the algae has 95% disappeared.
