What is this brown / orange growth

Vermetid Snail, crush it they can be a pest

I found about 6-7 of them and one even on the base of my hammer. All killed, crushed and removed. Thanks again!

Theyre hard to get rid of, but worth it in the long run to remove when possible. They use mucous to catch food particles which if it touches corals will irritate them.
