The tank is two months old no coral only fish at the moment. It's running full zeovit.

Po4 0.06ppm at the moment(was 0.5 due to auto feeder malfunction)
No3 less than 5ppm
Using rodi water
Salt red sea blue

What's is this thing? It's on the bare bottom and the rock work and wave pump basically everywhere. And the water becomes cloudy overnight and clear out during the day (I can see fine dust in the water). It's easy to brush off and really dusty. My mids blenny and blue tang enjoy picking and eating it. Snails and sea urchins eat it as well. I did try to stop dosing zeovit stuff for two days but the water still gets cloudy overnight and clear out during the day. So what's this thing? Bacteria film? Diatom? Btw I only have two snails right now and it's a 170g tank. I need to buy more snails and qt them. I just want to find the root cause of this. Thanks

looks like some sort of bacteria bloom to me, also makes the most logical sense with the way the waters acting. Those are characteristics of a bacteria bloom.

That's also what I thought. But do fish and snail eat bacteria film? I guess I need to stop dose all the zeovit stuff for a week or so.

I'm not 100% on this, but I'd think it would be situational. I just went through a horrible bacteria bloom, same deal with cloudy water at night until it got so bad in the day I couldn't see. I grabbed a uv light and my problem went away in 4 days to cyrtal clear water. Pics attached

I'll definitely get a UV and run it temporarily.

Not sure how big your tank is but this is what worked for me. Cheap off Amazon.
