What's doesnt look good
It's a bacterial infection. I had shrimp get this and recover and had them get it and die. Work on keeping water quality pristine and it may survive. Here is some info I found when searching for info on it for my shrimp:
"Spot diseases
Brown spot shell disease, burned spot disease, rust disease, shell disease, black spot disease are the types of spot diseases which are caused by a group of bacteria belonging to Vibrio, Pseudomonas and Beneckea. Maintaining the quality of water within the optimum range, removing the dead and infected shrimps, reducing the stocking intensity, providing good nutritious feed, incorporating terramycine at the rate of 0.45 mg per kg of feed for two weeks, bath treatment using 0.05 to 1.0 mg of malachite green per litre of water are some of the remedial measures suggested to counteract the incidence of viral diseases in prawns."
I have never attempted the treatment outlined above.
Never seen itThe black specs are everywhere...have never seen that. And it always hangs out in the rock work, but it is just sitting the front corner not moving. A little movement once in awhile, but just doesn't look right.
