Hi,

Recently did a tank transfer. All my rock is very well established… I only moved everything into a bigger tank. Started getting some type of algae/bacteria on the sand. What do you guys think it is?? And what’s the best method to remove? My parameters are good! The only one I haven’t tested are my phosphates. I don’t know where they are at. Thank you!!

Hard to tell from the pics maybe early stage dino if you bottomed your phosphate or nitrates out but looks minimal and manageable right now. Some siphoning, sand cleaners, maybe cut lights back a little temporarily?

looks like a lot of new sand and the system has been disturbed by moving everything.
I wouldn't worry about a little growth on the sand at this point. Siphon out any spots that look more brown than you'd like.
BTW, what kind of sand is that?

Here are some updates ! It’s definitely gotten worse over the last 3 days. Let me know what u think!!

It’s live pink Fiji sand

Does it look like cyano ?? It’s more brownish than red I think

no. that looks like dinos. But the sand is so new, I'd call it early stage uglies, siphon out the worst parts and let it mature,
