What is this disease?

At petco and no one knows what this is, or how to treat it. He seems to really want the cleaner shrimp to clean him. Hes had it for at for a couple weeks

Looks like a nasty bacterial infection, possibly secondary. There seems to be lympho at least on the tail.

Lympho or pehaps a bacterial infection setting in. No cure for lymphocystis. Fish needs pristine water quality and as close as possible its natural foods. Best way is something like LRS or mixing up a fish "smoothie" made from a variety of frozen cubes. The greater the variety the better + vitamins like Selcon, etc.
If bacterial it needs wide spectrum antibiotics in a QT: kanaplex, Furan2, NFG, Sulfaplex (triple sulfa), etc.
Doubt the fish will get either of the above treatments at Petco. Maybe someone you know can rescue the fish.

Awesome guys. I showed the employees and they said they arent allowed to treat animals with medication that isnt sold at petco. Then they asked me to work there as the aquatic specialist because they have no idea what they are doing.

Are they allowed to soak fish food with vitamins (e.g. Selcon, Zoecon, Vita-chem)? Even plain ol' Vitamin C will help. Doing that will boost the fish's immune system, and that will eventually put the Lympho virus into remission.
