This Algea is consuming my sand bed and sone frag plugs. Its not on my rocks much. I have Ceramic Rock scape. It overtook my rocks in the first few weeks i setup my tank like 5-6 months ago. I scrubbed all my rock since then its gone. Now its growing all over my sand bed.
Calcium 420
Alk- 8
Mag 1320
PH 7.7
Phosphate- 0ppm
Nitrates- 10ppm
Lights- Radion xr15 Gen 4 2 of them
Doing the Coral Lab LPS light schedule. Lights on at 10 am off at 9pm then blues till 11:30 at like 55% at peak. Cut back lights to completely shut ar 10pm last night. Maybe too much light?
Use Aqua forest salt and their balling method and their additives.
What should i do? Syphon this algea. Tomorrow i am doing maintenance. I do water chsnge 1 a month like 10 gallons on a 65 total tank volume

This FTS was taken last week. Its gotten worse since then.
Im also dosing that Vibrant stuff but not really any help just see my glass gets dirty real quick after dosing. Once a week.

Looks like Bryopsis to me, based on the feather-like fronds. Some folks have reported eliminating it with Vibrant - others have had less success. Recently, there have been several threads reporting what appears to be great success with Fluconazole, which is primarily used as an antifungal medication for humans.

Agreed. I would try to get it under control sooner than later as it can get out of control very quickly. Check out this thread for a newer way to handle it.

I have been reading up on all of this just was hoping it was not byropsis.
This is what tank looked a few weeks after it cycled. Ill read more on this nee method. Just scared got some bounce and jawbreakers and some more high end coral in here dint want anything to happen.

Lettuce nudis eat it. Buy 1 or 2 and they will take care of the rest. Other option is take plugs or rock from the tank and use a toothbrush to remove

I scrubbed the rock plugs and dipped in peroxide. Its all dead and gone. Scrubbed the overlflow. I see it clung in in a spot or two on my rocks. I can easily scrub thst off because all those shelves are removable and the sit in grooves to keep put. Its just mostly on sand bed. Maybe siphon my sand bed tomorrow totally clean. Then wait and see what happens. Gotta see where i can get thise lettuce nudis.
