Spiral base and opening where I outlined?
Do you see a mucus net coming out the opening at all which a vermitted snail uses to catch and draw in food and also to reproduce?

It looks like some kind of large tube worm to me. I have to agree it actually does look pretty cool - not great placement wise, with it clearly in the coral's space, but cool all the same.
