It actually has a shell. It's just really small, unlike most other snails.

He looked all soft like nothing hard but hey if hes happy and healthy and looks normal im happy

Their shell isn’t like most other snails, it’s small and flimsy. Hence their nickname “paper shell snail”.

Most have hitch hicked then but guess i lucked out and got a good hitch hiker

Just so you know, stomatellas are one of my favorite inverts. They’re adorable to me and do a good job eating microalgae. At first I was freaked out and thought I had some kind of evil flatworm but I found out what it was and now I love them. They breed readily and I’ve even found people who will buy them off me!

I agree. They are adorable. Mine breed like crazy. I must have at least a hundred or more in my 20 gallon.

It's free clean up crew. I don't even buy snails anymore cause I have these and 2 other small snails that reproduce in the tank.
