What is this guy?

This big guy just came to me in a yogurt container with a bubble tip anemone. He’s kind of shy about coming out of his shell but has red antenna and that big claw. Dang near the size of a ping pong ball. I put him in my 50 gallon ”prison” tank. What type of hermit is he?

Well, my prison tank houses my Clarkii murderclowns (Bonnie and Clyde) and a stabby little Scopas tang (Kevin Cooper), so he’s in good, errr bad company and needs a felon name now. Lol

Could be a left handed hermit crab. This article says they are reef safe though I would still watch in the QT tank for a while before I would trust him. He is totally awesome though!
