Hi,

can someone please help me identify this thing? I have about 10 of them in my tank, some are growing right next to my corals (mushroom and favia). Is this harmful? I tried to dig my coral in coral Rx and iodine solution, but it doesn’t work… thanks in advance.

Its an aptasia anemone and a known pest you dont want. Removal is simple:
Using a syringe or pipette, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

Also please refrain from posting a common question as emergency. Emergency is someone in crisis situation who is losing fish or coral, has a chemistry issue or tank leak and needs immediate attention
