What are the things circled in red? They have a short stem then they are round with a lot of 'arms' coming off of it. It's kind of similar to a aiptasia, which we finally removed yesterday (we had it for a month, thought it was cool and a freebie!) and they are growing pretty **** fast. I tried looking on this site LionfishLair.com - Hitchhiker Guide to your Aquarium but didn't quite find it. Sorry for the picture quality, it's way in the back of the tank.

Looks like majano anemones. They are pests...remove them before the multiply!

That my friend is a majano anemone! not an idea tank mate at all. They are actually harder to get rid of than aiptasia, but ive found that a paste made of Kalk works great and also since the don't fully retract back into the rock work that a little hydrogen peroxide in a pipette squirted directly on them once a day over a week time period if they last that long will take care of them. These are just some things that have worked for me, although some people have more problem out of them. Good luck

Thanks guys! Will AptasiaX work on them? If not I'll look into the Kalk paste!

We have used aiptasia x on them at our store and it seems to be a 50/50 shot that either eliminates them over night or they laugh at us lol, but its worth a shot!

If you don't want to do the chemical route you can always try boiling water and a syringe. I've found its just as effective as aiptasia x

Alright, we just moved the rock to the front of the tank, turns out there was like 8 of these things, except much smaller. I gave them a bit of aiptasia x and the big ones kinda just bubbled up, hopefully that worked.

My favorite way to get rid of them is using a majono wand.just zaps them away lol real simple and quick.check majono wands out
