Looks like a young Pipe fish.

Pipe fish. I catch many all the time! Some get much bigger that is just a juvenile

Lots of macro washing up. I suspect professional fishers dragging the bottom. But who in gov would care.

I just did quick search to see what type of pipefish it could be. Well! 28 species in south Australia so I guess we will never know. Lol. I have one type here in New Jersey UsS lol
