What is this in my dry rock?

I just receieved some dry rock in for a new build I am working on. I have used a lot of dry rock and never noticed this before. I found what appeared to be Quartz on a piece and another round shiny piece that resembles quartz as well.

Does anyone know what this is?

pic 1 is an old dried out sponge.

The other 2 appear to be either snail shells or possibly tool marks. Hard to tell...

Most dry rock I have seen that is mined in south Florida contains those crystals. Agatized coral is the state rock after all.

Those are so circular, I'm guessing it's a from a diamond drill (coring) bit, maybe with some sort of pilot tip.
It could have been used to make the rock easier to split, or maybe there was a (now broken off) part above that spot that someone was trying to drill frag plug holes into.

No idea about the first one but the second looks like hard acrylic tubing. Is this natural rock or is it manufactured? I'd wonder if it's actually man-made concrete rock and pieces of acrylic tubing or plastic were used to hold pieces together while it was setting? It looks a little too perfectly round to be natural. The first image could just be pieces of crystalline rock or quartz that were added to the concrete while setting to give it a bit of structure.

If it’s mined rock like Marco, it has nothing to do with concrete.

Just wondering if it IS mined rock or if its man-made? OP didn't specify.
Isn't some of the rock sold by Carribsea artificial/man-made, and other suppliers as well?

And in my previous build I had this nodule which I was concerned was metal, so I took it out of my tank. I threw it outside, which is why one pic has a spider on it.

I started washing the rocks and I noticed one rock has this orange/rust colored substance on it. Any ideas what it could be?

Glad I’m not the only one paranoid about the rocks. I also had something like this. I ended up knocking it out, even thought it was probably fine.

I don't know what it is; but I saw something similar on a moon rock. I would hold on to that one.

You're right and its probably nothing to worry about. I read a couple things were others were saying it was mineral deposits, etc and it should be fine.

Nothing that coralline isn't going to completely cover in 6 months.
