What is this in my sump?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I have these spots growing on my baffle In my sump. Possibly the beginning of coraline? The tank is a few months old and I've seen no signs of coraline so maybe It is just wishful thinking on my part. The pic is the typical crappy iPhone pic but it looks the same in person.

Looks like some sort of algae definitely. Possibly coralline

I'm banking on it being coraline. It got a lot thicker and darker color since I posted and I decided to risk it and scraped it off into the water column. In hindsight that probably wasn't the smartest of ideas but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I now have some small green circles that are really hard to get off of the sump. if i had to describe it id say calciferous. Pretty sure its green coralline. should've taken a picture but i didn't think twice before scraping it off to get it int the water table
