Okay long story short I bought my biocube used from a guy who has had it established for 4 years before me and I’ve had it 5 months now so I was doing some cleaning in the back chambers and was in the 3rd chamber and under the sponge I find this bag and I had no clue it was ever there lol. I think it’s a bag of older gfo?? Anyone ever see what brand or kind it is because I kinda like it

Looks like Seachem Purigen to me...

There' a couple types. Some remove organics and some remove toxins like heavy metals.

Definitely Purigen. Definitely throw it away. Their color changes when exhausted. They can be renewed, but that one is gross. Lol. At this point it's putting nitrates back in your system.

Yep, Purigen, classic media. I reuse mine regularly; 50/50 non-additive bleach and water for 24 hours, then Prime for another day to neutralize. Cheaper than buying new. Seachem site has directions

Purigen!!!! Love it
