They look like hydroids, which come pretty frequently in new tanks. Nothing to worry about unless they spread to plague proportions.

Looking it up I agree. The crazy thing is this tank has been going for over a year

Sometimes it just happens - could have hitchhiked in on a new frag or just waited till it’s ideal params came.
