It is - they represent the rolly-polly bug
Now would be a good time to scrape them off into the toilet. Not harmful but can grow large

they seemed to be isolated to the frag plug which did not go in the tank. Not harmful is fine with me, as long as that's a fact. I've just never seen that before
 
I think Chitons. They are algae eaters, I think they eat coralline algae too.

This upon seeing on a screen larger than phone could very well be chiton. So similar but the chiton as in OP pics have a more distict skirt and would make it a harmless mollusk that focuses on algae. GOOD CALL SMSREEF !!
