what is this LPS? some wierd rhyzo?

anyone know? my lfs is getting some in...they're calling it a rhyzo (as in rhyzotrochus typus)....but from what i know, it don't look like a (typical) rhyzo

I think it is one, just a differant solid growth. I would put money on it being a Rhyzo....

rhyzos are supposed to be massive, even bigger than then grand-daddy dendrophyllia fistula

the size of that PVC fitting in the picture above is 1/2"...so whatever it is, it's small...doesn't fit the bill for a rhyzo, afaik.

There was another thread on RC with the same coral, but i can't find it for the life of me.....if I remember correctly though, Calfo had chimed in and also said he was unsure what it was.

in any case, when/if my lfs gets them in, i'm soooooooooo there!

yeah quite possible it may be a different species of rhyzo......i must have it!!! LOL

but from what i remember from that thread that i can't seem to find, the guy got in a bunch of them in a shipment (all of them small sized), but the supplier did not identify what it was that's why he was posting looking for an ID
