What is it? It has killed numerous acans, and how it has killed a portion of my galaxea! It's green with yellow mouths. When it attacks, it sends out something akin to a spiders web that attached to victim corals.

Have some white light photos?

Shine a flashlight on it and snap a pic.

That looks like Galaxea fascicularis, if so, yes, it will destroy almost anything in its path, except for maybe hydnophora...

No, that's not what I'm asking. THE GREEN THING KILLED THE GALAXEA. WHAT IS THE GREEN THING

whoops, misunderstood. Green looks to be Acanthastrea echinata, also quite rowdy, see this link, many folks listed it as their most aggressive.

Since it's now been identified. Currently it's mounted to a tile, and its overgrown the sides of the tile. Do I need to mount it, or will it just grow and spread out onto the sand.

Maybe you can draw an arrow at what exactly you are looking at, I don't see any green blob

It should be fine on the sandbed. I do not keep these for this very reason (the aggression) so I cant say from personal experience, but being in the hobby long enough, I know they are a "deeper" water coral, so lower light and flow than many others. Anecdotally, I know that many folks keep them on the sand bed, or place them in little caves/archways to help block their homicidal tendencies. :)
