We just spotted this today. Almost like a "plant" on the edge of the rocks. Bunch of 'stalks" that are dark with a light spot toward the end. You can see it moving in the flow.

@FLReef32043 sorry can you can take a picture of it? Having a hard time zooming in on what you're talking about. Is it anchored to the rock work or moving?

Lets try these. it is fixed on the rock. Looks like a "black spot" but you can see what appear to be "threads" that are dark with white ends that sway in the flow.

And it is fairly small and I'd swear it was not there yesterday. My wife actually found it this afternoon while looking at the tank.

Not sure from the picture but maybe try googling aiptasia or feather duster to see if that leads you anywhere!

Not sure. My guess would be some kind of bacteria strings, or maybe fishing line from someone else? What happens if you shine a light on it at night?

It is not aptasia (I know that that looks like unfortunately) and I've looked at images of a feather duster and it did not seem to be that - no "tube" behind it. It is a "blob" with feelers :)

I'll just keep watching to see if it grows.

Unfortunately and I know its' a challenge, we need a clearer pic.
