What is this on Achilles tang?

What is this white thing above the pectoral fin? I had him since late November. I do not notice any behavior changes. Thanks!!

I just noticed today. As I watch him closely, I notice that he doesn’t use that fin as much.

So do you think it may be a wound? Does the tang wedge itself into the rocks at night? If it is a wound and a white-ish film has developed that's a symptom of a bacterial infection.

Doesn’t really look like a common bacterial infection I’m used to seeing. Here is a new picture.

Looks like an infected wound or growth. Is it in QT? I’d recommend NFG (Nitrofuracin green) for 14 days in quarantine.

It may take a while to receive it so in the meantime kanaplex, metroplex, and furan 2 can be sourced more easily at LFS or amazon until NFG arrives.

Spectrogram is basically kanaplex and furan 2. Add metro and it’s about the same. If you have that on hand I’d use it.
