What is this on my clove polyp

Flame tipped clove
They were closing up because I had just turned the whites on and it doesnt seem to be a part of it, or bothering it so I have no idea what it is.

I can't keep them alive myself. Tried 3 times everything else is happy.I finally gave up on them everyone said they were easy not for me
