What is the best way to get rid of them without hurting what it is on
 
never ran into them actually taking over another coral like this. As for trying to remove it, that might be hard. You could probably use a qtip and see if you could gently swipe it off, of course the zoas will be mad but im sure they wont be happy if the cloves kill it off. Worth a shot, maybe someone else who might have ran into this can chime in. good luck and keep us posted.
 
Yes hopefully somebody that had this can tell me what they did but tomorrow I will take it out and see how it goes getting it off
 
Maybe you could try an iodine dip. It kills xenia, it might kill clove polyps too.
 
I will tell how it goes tomorrow and other ideas are welcome
