I have a hammer in a 4 month old tank and it lost all of its color in a recent hair algae event. I thought it was a complete goner and was going to pull it but let it stay for a while instead.
it now has a white cap on the three heads as if it’s molded over or regrowing?
sitting behind some Duncan’s in the pic. The white cap looks like ice now
