What is this on my hammer coral??

Hello All,

Walked my by tank and just saw this thing pop up!! What is it?? Looks like a balloon of soft tissue.. video and pic attached.

coral: hammer coral
Tank is about 5 months old
Hammer coral is about two and a half weeks old
Water parameters are stable, temp is 80-81

Is it coming out of the mouth and do u have any tissue loss

It is coming directly out of the middle of the coral and I wouldn’t say tissue loss, but it’s not as vibrant as it usually is the past several days

I would not say it is brown jelly, but do some research on brown jelly to better help identify this possibility

Brown stringy stuff coming out of hammer corals mouth

Anyone knows what this is? I came home today and saw this brown string like stuff flowing out of my corals mouth. My parameters are good and all other corals in my tank are doing good.

Ifs it’s coming from the mouth and u don’t see any tissue loss it could be the coral pooping lol. It happens from time to time if the coral has to much of the stuff it uses to make food it could also be caused by stress. Have u changed anything recently lights maybe how long have u had the coral?

I just fed it two days ago, which is the first time I fed it too lol.

I haven’t changed anything about the tank, had the coral two and a half weeks. After doing some reading too it looks like poop. Lol best part is the coral actually looks a lot better now after it finished

Mines poops from time to time.
