What is this on my Hermit’s Shell???

What is this thingy attached to my Hermit’s shell? Good or bad critter?

Can see some kind of dark tube thing just below it,maybe it some kind of tube worm or feather duster,
Maybe put your finger above it or go to pike it and see if it retracts when you get close or if create a shadow over it

If that’s a feather duster then that hermit and worm are gonna be pretty cool together IMO
