Just got back from vacation and my Lobo has what looks like a sponge between the heads and under one of the heads and is not as puffed up as normal. Once in a while in the past he would shrivel up a little then go back to normal. Any ideas on what this actually may be if not a sponge?
Photos are of what is on him, what he normally looks like and some sponges ( I Think ) in my tank that look like what might be on him.

Yep, you have a round of sponges, They wont hurt anything but its clear they are irritating the coral. If you bring the coral into the air, air will kill sponges. even just 30 seconds

Is it soft or hard?
I believe it is soft because I could see a little section moving with the current. The lobo is starting to look normal again. You can't see the sponge anymore.
